2. How do I enter an Agent?

C Main Menu, C Data Entry, C Agents.

You will find a blank new screen when you enter your first agent. For each additional agent C Insert (upper tool bar) and C New Record

As with all ID in PMM you cannot change the assigned ID!. Normally the ID would be the family name. (Example: John Smith ‘ SMITH)

Using the TAB Key move to the next field. If you pay your agents on a regular basis (PMM gives a regular report of Listing and Leasing Agent commissions. These Reports are not integrated in the accounting system because the agents are paid from the corporate account), enter the agreed commission. If your agents are not paid a commission on a regular basis, leave this field blank.

You will find on the right side of the firm view sheet where to enter the agreed commission for an agent

Why do I need an agent if I am the Property Manager?

PMM is designed for all kinds of companies. Also, PMM can manage from1 to 1,000 or more units. PMM allows you to enter 1 “House” agent or as many individual agents as needed.  If only one person does the rentals/property management, simply enter “House” agent.  If you have more than the “house” agent, enter each agent by their name.  (Example: John Smith would be John Smith).

Note: For Form View or Data Sheet View functions, sorting functions and find functions, see the relating questions in Owners at Chapter I on How do I enter an Owner
