Tool BarsThe Access System, like all Microsoft products, makes use of Tool Bars which give you choices of things to do. These Tool Bars are located across the top of your screen. Here are the Icon Buttons on your Tool Bar which you will use with your PMM System (starting on the left):
· Form View Icon : A light grey form one step to the right of the Exit Icon. One click on this icon will take you to the Form View of the Record you are reviewing or using. · Datasheet View Icon : A small spreadsheet one step to the right of the Form View Icon. One click on this icon will take you to the Datasheet View of the Record you are reviewing or using. · Find Icon: A pair of Binoculars. One click will take you directly to the Find function. For example, this will allow you to locate a specific customer by name, or a specific ticket number. · Print Icon : Printer. Prints report. · Cut Icon : " Scissors standing on end. Cut highlighted selection and Paste to Clipboard. · Copy Icon : 22Two pages next to each other. Copy highlighted selection to the Clipboard. · Paste Icon : A clipboard. Puts the selected text from the Clipboard wherever the pointer (cursor) is. · A /Z and Z /A Icons : One click on either of these will allow you to sort information in either Ascending or Descending order. There is more about this sort function later on in this documentation. · Move To Icons : (Also called VCR Buttons) Arrows with Vertical Bar and Arrows alone. These buttons allow you to move to the First Record, Previous Record, Next Record and Last Record of your open file. VCR Buttons are found at the top of your panel, at the bottom of your panel, and at the bottom of any sub-panel on your screen. · New Icon : Arrow with an * on the far right of the VCR Buttons . One click on this icon will put you in Add mode to add a new record to the file in which you are working. In addition to these buttons, there will be other buttons specific to the function in which you are working. For example, in many functions, there is a Close button on the toolbar. Keep you eye on the toolbar for helpful buttons to help you work with PMM! |
